In this video I talk about my upcoming book, Nationalizing Nature: Iguazu Falls and National Parks at the Brazil-Argentina Border. The book was written with the support of a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship. The book will be out in May 2021, with Cambridge University Press.
Eu, o Vinil, e o Resto do Mundo (I, the Vinyl LP, and the Rest of the World) I wrote, produced, and animated along with Ricardo Fernandes the opening for this 2010 documentary about hip-hop DJs in São Paulo. It was directed by Karina Ades and Lila Rodrigues.
TVCOM In 2008, I helped to create the new look for TVCOM, a local TV network in southern Brazil. I worked with Lucas Rampazzo and Ricardo van Steen (Tempo Design Studio) in the redesigning of all the TVCOM’s promos, IDs, opening credits, and also their logo.
Tight Skirt This was the opening for the Brazilian talk show Saia Justa, (a Portuguese idiom for “a difficult and embarrassing situation,” literally means “tight skirt”). I designed and animated this in 2005 along with Ricardo Fernandes for director Daniela Thomas.
The promo was produced in 1999 for the Brazilian TV network RedeTV! It was a simulation of woodcuts representing typical Brazilian scenes, drawn by Marcelo Fahd, animated by myself and Ricardo Fernandes, and directed by Ricardo van Steen.
